Entrepreneurs – Are you getting it done?
Entrepreneurs love lists. And they are great! They help narrow our vision to the items that require our attention first, second, third, etc. If you are getting it done; ‘it’ being all the items on these lists, your mission is accomplished!
Ever make too many lists?
Most have a today, tomorrow, this week, this month, this year… 5 years. Let’s be real: are you getting it done?
@shardesk illustrated it perfectly:
Often as entrepreneurs, the focus is purely (obviously) on getting our business off the ground. Developing the talent. Growing the client base. All pluses.
Then there are all those little things we push till they have to get done.
How to cover all your bases:
Make a list (yes, a list – promise this one will work!) of everything that carries over to your new to-do lists.
After a careful look, noticed that often this can mean creating social media websites for your business. You know the importance, but never have the time to create quality (not quantity) content. A valid point! First plan of attack is spending 10 minutes on creating your Facebook, 5 on your Twitter. Start simple: about, add website, logo, contact info. Day 2, link your Facebook and Twitter pages and add social media links to your company’s website. Day 3, start ‘liking’ on Facebook pages that interest you or would interest your readers. Remember: content is a value add only if it is worthy of being read, shared, loved by others. Day 4 and on… while on Facebook, share posts from others that show on your feed onto your business’ Facebook page wall and add a tidbit or two of your own knowledge. You are on your way!
Step one is creating, designing. Everything that follows is maintaining content current customers as well as potential customers will want to read.
You now have the HOW, can you answer this successfully? ~> Are you getting it done?
