Coworking Poem – Yes! A Coworking Poem
Powered by OpenStudioClub
Poem sent to SoTechie from someone seeking a coworking desk in our New York location. Enjoy!
What should I use your desk for?
How do I get myself in the door?
I have so many questions
I am looking for smart people with suggestions
You see it is so hard to decide.
It is so terribly, terribly, hard to decide.
When a guy can do a lot,
It’s hard for a guy to cannot.
But there are so many jobs that would be so much fun,
How can a I just pick one?
I might be a programmer, that sounds pretty good,
That could be my job, maybe it should,
I will write code, everything for free
Then someone for sure will notice me
And the code will be the world’s very best!
I’ll be the programmer guy, Patrick. I’m up to the test!
No…no, I am to smart and to clever.
To tie myself down to just one job forever,
If I could have two jobs that would be swell.
Why, I could be also, a doctor as well!
And then people will say when their needs are pediatric,
“I’ll go to the programming guy, Dr. Patrick!”
Yep! The guy who does two things, that will be me!
The doctor and programming guy, how great that would be.
But why should I do two things, when I could do three?
I’ll build ten totally cool websites,
Where we edit the funniest sound bites.
And then I will be famous from the young to the geriatric.
As the programming sound bite guy, Dr. Patrick
Pooh! Three jobs is nothing! I could still do more.
I’ve got brains. It’s a cinch. I’ll do four!
I’ll buy myself one of those seal trainer suits.
And train seals to balance big balls on their snoots.
Then people will say.
“Patrick is quite slick.
He writes code while healing the sick.
All the while uploading videos, and besides he’s so quick,
He’ll all the time teaching some seal a new trick!”
And cow punching is great, I’ll do that, of course.
I’ll do all five jobs on the back of a horse!
And when people see me galloping by,
They will all shout and scream, “What an amazing guy!”
But I don’t need all that, I need you desk for only one thing,
I know there is no need to get carried away this spring.
I only want to work on my journalism project
While treating your desk with the utmost respect.
We love inquiries like this.
Send more and we’ll share the bliss!
